In the historical group I play with I help to organize an "herbal guild." Today we had our first "Weed-n-Feed." Basically a potluck-style get together at someone's house who wishes help in planning a garden or other project that involves plants.

Morgana (the hostess today) made a wonderful chili and cornbread. Lisa brought a fruit bowl that was just yummy. I brought lavender lemondate. I can't believe I've waited to long to make it! It was a bit strong (ok more than a bit) but it was yummy! I'm going to have to make some more. ; )

Morgana has some unusual gardening challenges. Such as a side yard that is full-sun in the summer and full-shade in the winter. Yikes!

Thankfully Pat came as she is the one with most of the real gardening knowledge. We followed her about, mouths open, wishing we had pen and paper to take notes. Oh! There was one new person, Kathy I think was her name.

So in one month I've had 2 mommy's afternoon outs! I'm going to get spoiled if this keeps up. ; ))
