Yesterday we officially became property owners. Immediately I eyed with squinty-browed, bloody-pupilled mistrust the children "hanging out" across the street. As apparently children are wont to do on warm spring evenings. Something will have to be done about that.

Have purchased a mailbox and house numbers to install. But oh! my poor house. Drilling holes in your brand new composite Lousiana-Pacific siding (hopefully greatly improved since they last, as Steve Duin once put it, flooded the market with crap) seems so wrong and invasive. I durstn't damage the house. Mailbox and numbers will hence be attached with a compound of spit, earthworm crap, and pocket lint extorted from the children across the street.
