While taking the dogs for a walk yesterday evening, we passed by "Renee's Family Haircare", which is a hole in the wall advertising for $3 haircuts. The scuttlebutt on the neighborhood listserv is that this is just a front for prostitution; no one can survive by providing $3 haircuts, so she (Renee, one presumes) must also be providing other, more expensive services. Anyway, that alarm was first raised a couple of years ago and even made the local news, but the neon sign for $3 haircuts has remained, as has the establishment. Apparently local vice cops never got around to busting the place or perhaps it just might be legitimate. I don't think I've ever seen any customers inside, but then again we don't take that route all that often. I believe I have glimpsed the infamous Renee, from whom I have no wish to purchase any services whatsoever.

Now it appears Renee is moving on. The shop is dark and a sign on the door says that they are moving. Helpfully, the sign doesn't say where the shop is relocating to, but does provide a phone number and states that "Will Provide Services In Your Home".
